Normandie-Rando is a member of the APST (Association Professionnelle de Solidarité du Tourisme), which provides its financial guarantee. Normandie-Rando has taken out professional liability insurance with Allianz IARD (1 Cours Michelet- CS30051 92076 PARIS LA DEFENSE CEDEX)

These general conditions govern the sales, made by Normandie-Rando, of trips or stays within the meaning of articles L.211-1 et seq. and R.211-1 et seq. of the Tourism Code.

The purchase of Normandie-Rando holidays implies the client’s full and unreserved acceptance of these general conditions of sale, which are deemed to have been read and accepted after signature of the sales contracts.

CONDITIONS OF INSCRIPTION

Make your request via our website www.normandie.rando.com by filling in the booking form for the holiday you have chosen
Normandie-Rando checks the availability of the desired services on the desired dates and confirms within 48 hours (except weekends and public holidays)
You will receive from the website a confirmation with a quote and payment link

PAYMENT MODALITIES

For registrations made more than 45 days in advance, a deposit of 30% of the total cost of the trip is required to confirm the trip. The deposit must be paid within 15 days from the date of sending the confirmation message, unless a different date is mentioned in the confirmation message.

Normandie-Rando sends the final invoice 45 days or more before the start of the trip. The balance must be paid 30 days before the start date of the tour. If the final payment is not made before the deadline, the tour is considered cancelled. All expenses arising from this are to be borne by the client, without prejudice to any action that may be taken against him. Therefore Normandie-Rando will not be obliged to keep the tour available.

For registrations made less than 45 days before departure, the full payment must be made in one go

Payment methods

You can pay by credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Payments by bank transfer or cash within the limits allowed by law.

MODIFICATION AND ANNULATION

  1. Any change made by the client after confirmation of the stay will give rise to a fee of 30 euros per person if Normandie-Rando can honour the change. Changes of dates must be communicated at least 45 days before the beginning of the stay.

All cancellations are subject to the following charges:
More than 45 days before departure: 10% of the total price of the stay
45 to 30 days before departure: 30% of the total price of the stay
From 30 to 8 days before departure: 50% of the total price of the stay
Less than 8 days before departure: 100% of the total price of the stay

If, before departure, Normandie-Rando is obliged to make an important change in the services included in the ordered tourist stay, Normandie-Rando will inform the client as soon as possible.

The customer can then :

Either cancel the contract and obtain a full refund of the sums paid;
Or accept the modification proposed by Normandie-Rando. In this case a new order form will be established with the modifications. In the case of a reduction in price, the overpayment will be refunded before the date of departure.

The customer must inform us of his decision (acceptance of the modification or cancellation) within a maximum period of 7 days from receipt of the aforementioned information. In the absence of a response within this period, the customer will be deemed to have accepted the proposed modification.

If Normandie-Rando decides to cancel the stay before departure, Normandie-Rando will reimburse the client for the full amount paid. All other expenses (plane or train tickets) cannot be refunded.

During the trip

When, after your departure, Normandie-Rando is obliged to make an important change in the services included in the tourist stay, representing a non-negligible percentage of the price, Normandie-Rando will make its best efforts to replace them by equivalent services.

If these proposed solutions are of inferior quality to the initial service, Normandie- Rando undertakes to reimburse the customer for the price difference between the two services.

RESPONSABILITIES

Certain administrative and/or health formalities may be required for travel. It is the traveller’s responsibility to find out about these formalities, to comply with them and, if necessary, to bear the costs.

Before registering for your trip, you must check that you are in possession of a valid passport or other document that meets the requirements for transit and/or entry into the country(ies) of travel. Please note that the regulations of some countries require passports to be valid for more than 6 months after the date of return.

The consequences of non-compliance with administrative and sanitary formalities by the traveller, such as the impossibility of taking the departure on the date indicated, are the sole responsibility of the latter. Normandie-Rando cannot, under any circumstances, be held responsible for the consequences of the traveller’s failure to comply with police, customs or health regulations.

It is the client’s responsibility to choose a trip that corresponds to his physical capacities, his aptitudes and his state of health. Normandie-Rando may refuse to accept any client who is deemed unfit to cycle or walk.

The client undertakes to respect at all times the safety rules relating to cycling as set out in the Highway Code.

The client is entirely responsible for the condition of the rented bike at the end of the tour. He/she accepts to take responsibility for any repairs following any damage he/she may have caused.

The customer may be asked to pay a deposit before taking possession of the bike to cover any costs or loss of the bike.

Normandie-Rando can in no way be held responsible for the poor execution of services provided by a third party, host, restaurant owner or carrier.

Normandie-Rando cannot be held responsible for delays, changes in timetable or itinerary of the rail carrier, which the client would decide to use before, after or during the period of stay. In such conditions, the delay that may be suffered will not entail any compensation for any charges incurred by the client.

Normandie-Rando can in no case be held responsible for the fact of force majeure, or exceptional circumstances, or for the fact caused by third parties outside the services provided for in the contract or for the poor execution of the contract, for which the client is responsible

Normandie-Rando cannot be held responsible for the execution of services purchased on the spot by the client and not foreseen in the description, nor for the transport to the place of departure and from the place of arrival of the tour.

ASSURANCE

It is strongly recommended that the client take out a travel insurance policy. All clients are required to have third party liability insurance to cover any damage/accidents they may cause to third parties.

COMPLAINTS

Normandie-Rando must be notified of any problem occurring during the journey. Normandie-Rando will do its utmost to correct the problem. Any other complaint must be sent by any means allowing to obtain an acknowledgement of receipt within one month after the date of return to the following address

In the event that an amicable settlement cannot be found, the dispute will be brought before the Tribunal de Grande Instance de CAEN, competent under the conditions of common law.
