Set off on a cycling adventure by the sea

Cycling along the north coast of Brittany, every turn of the pedals offers spectacular views of the sea and cliffs. Between Tréguier and Paimpol, you can feel the sea breeze and discover secret coves, secluded beaches, and trails offering direct contact with the ocean. The route becomes a true maritime adventure on land, where each stage is an invitation to breathe in the salty air and feel the energy of the waves.

Geological discoveries and unusual landscapes

The loop to Perros-Guirec and Ploumanach reveals pink granite formations shaped by centuries of erosion. The rocks sculpted into fantastical shapes and the coastal paths offer a spectacle that is unique in the world, ideal for lovers of unusual landscapes and photography. This bike tour becomes as much a geological exploration as a sporting excursion, where nature and imagination meet at every turn.

Encounters and living traditions

Taking a bike tour means traveling close to the locals and discovering their way of life. As you pass through Breton villages and ports, you will meet artisans, fishermen, and locals who are passionate about their region. Colorful markets, fishing workshops, and artisanal production: each stop offers a glimpse into local life, Breton culture, and skills passed down from generation to generation. These encounters give bike trips a human and authentic dimension.

Serenity, slow tourism, and well-being by bike

Beyond sport and discovery, this tour is a relaxing and rejuvenating break. The quiet back roads, open landscapes and sea air invite you to slow down, enjoy the moment and reconnect with nature. Breaks on the beaches, panoramic sea views and coastal paths make this bike trip a truly wellness-focused experience, ideal for reconnecting with yourself and your surroundings.

Itinerary

DAY 1 : Arrival to Guingamp

Guingamp is one of Brittany’s Cities of Art and History. You will enjoy discovering this as you visit its historic monuments such as the Prison, the Castle, the Plomée, the Basilica, and the half-timbered houses. Over the centuries, the city’s military, religious, and commercial history has given it its authentic character.
Your hotel is located in the center of Guingamp, allowing you to discover all these treasures on foot.

Night in Guigamp.

DAY 2 : From Guingamp to Tréguier

Distance to cover: 44.5 km ( 27,6 miles)

Starting from Guingamp, head north to reach the deep Trieux valley, which you follow to Pontrieux, passing numerous mills spanning the river along the way.
You then leave the Trieux and cross the countryside to reach the Jaudy valley. Follow the river to Tréguier.
Encircled by the Jaudy and Guindy rivers, Tréguier is full of charming narrow streets and small squares, stretching from the port to the top of the hill. Under the protection of the cathedral’s delicate spire, half-timbered houses bear witness to the town’s intense intellectual and artistic influence.

Night in Tréguier.

DAY 3 : Northeast loop

Distance to cover: 48 or 62 km ( 29,8 or 38,5 miles)

Start the day by crossing the Jaudy, then follow it until you reach the Sillon de Talbert, a real geological curiosity that juts out 3 km into a sea dotted with rocks.
Cross the Trieux river and circle the peninsula. On your way, pass through the pretty fishing village of Loguivy de la Mer. Crab, spider crab, lobster… The place is best known for the “bleu de Loguivy,” a true Breton lobster.
The longer option takes you to Paimpol. Narrow streets, small squares, shipowners’ mansions and pretty half-timbered houses from the 15th and 16th centuries bear witness to the region’s past prosperity. Head back towards Tréguier after sampling the “La paimpolaise” oyster, the town’s specialty.

Night in Tréguier.

DAY 4 : From Tréguier to Perros Guirec

Distance to cover: 44,5 km (27,6 miles)

Leave Tréguier via the north, follow the Jaudy river up to Pointe du Château. Continue west along the coast. Keep your swimsuit and towel handy because from Buguélès onwards, the beaches are so beautiful that it’s hard to resist!
You will finally arrive at Perros Guirec, a magnificent seaside resort.
